The 2019 CTS comes in five trim levels: Standard, Luxury, Premium Luxury, V-Sport, and V-Sport Premium Luxury. Powerful Engine Options
The 2019 Cadillac CTS rolls off the line with one of three engines. The first is a 2.0-liter Inline-4 premium gas engine generating 268 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque. The second is a 3.6-liter V-6 engine providing 335 horsepower and 285 pound-feet of torque. The third is a twin-turbo 3.6-liter V-6 premium gas engine with 420 horsepower and 430 pound-feet of torque.
All 2019 Cadillac CTS versions come with eight-speed automatic transmissions with overdrive and auto-manual capabilities. The overdrive feature replaces the highest gear on the transmission with an overdrive version, raising the CTS’s redline and increasing the ground it can cover per RPM. The latter increases the fuel efficiency of the CTS considerably. The auto-manual feature enables drivers to switch between automatic and manual shifting at will.
Impressive Performance
The 2019 Cadillac CTS is available in both two-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive forms, so if you want a more responsive ride, go with the latter. With all-wheel-drive comes access to the specialized tour, sport, snow/ice, and track driving modes, with the last being restricted to the V-Sport trims. Add magnesium paddle shifters if you want your V-Sport to shift like a dream. The V-Sport trims have magnetic suspension, larger frontal brakes, a better steering ratio, and an electronic limited-slip differential system, so if power and performance are your primary concerns, choose one of them.
High-Tech Interior
The Cadillac CTS for the 2019 model year is loaded with a wide array of entertainment features, including a Wi-Fi hot spot, SiriusXM satellite radio, an 8-inch touch screen with available 12.3-inch upgrade, and for the V-Sport trims, a color head-up display that projects audio, speed, and navigation info onto the windshield. The CTS’s convenience features include wireless device charging, Bluetooth compatibility, keyless entry, heated and ventilated front seats, push-button start, a heated steering wheel, a power sunroof, and a GPS navigation system.
