Engine Options

The 2021 Escalade will have an updated version of the standard 6.2-liter V-8 engine that produces 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a Dynamic Fuel Management system with automatic engine stop/start and variable valve timing designed for better fuel efficiency. Cadillac plans to add an even more efficient engine later in the 2021 model year: a 3-liter Duramax I-6 turbodiesel that generates 277 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Both Escalade engine options come with a 10-speed automatic transmission, paddles for manual shifting, and a smart downshifting function for descending hills.

Luxurious Interior

Cadillac offers drivers eight interior trims to choose from, including three interior colors, eight wood types, and contrasting stitching and piping. Add to the customizable interior a wide range of luxury features, such as ambient lighting, an air purifier, soft-closing doors, a refrigerator and freezer in the center console, and a groundbreaking curved display screen.

Updated Technology

The 2021 Cadillac Escalade blows the competition away with its suite of unparalleled technology features. The front dash has a first-of-its-kind, three-screen OLED display. It includes a 7-2-inch driver information touch screen, a 14.2-inch instrument cluster display, and a leather-trimmed 16.9-inch touch-screen infotainment system. The attractive curved glass and OLED technology generate blacker blacks, crisper graphics, better contrast, and an immersive viewing experience.

From these screens, you can access trip information, the audio system, HVAC controls, and navigation. Speaking of, the 2021 Escalade features augmented reality navigation, which overlays driving directions over actual street views and moves in real time. As for audio, you’ll get a 19-speaker studio-quality AKG sound system standard, which you can upgrade to 36 speakers with two subwoofers and headrest speakers. The Escalade is even equipped with microphones that capture voices and allow passengers to communicate clearly between all three rows.

Hands-Free Driving

The 2021 Escalade also features the only hands-free driving system on the market: Cadillac’s Super Cruise. When driving on any of the 200,000 miles of highway that are compatible with this system, you can switch into semi-autonomous driving mode. The vehicle uses sensors, 360-degree cameras, GPS, and long- and short-range radars to safely maintain its track. It monitors the driver to make sure you’re still paying attention and can even change lanes.
